Standing on the stage holding my
diploma I look around to see a crowd cheering and clapping. The bright lights
shining on the stage are making me squint as I shake the headmasters hand and
smell the salty sweat of the staff under the high beam lights. As I exit left
stage I leave the glaring lights and my time is done. The crowd no longer
cheers for me but for the next on stage. My moment in the spotlight is done and
so is my time at this school. Standing alone the memories of this school flash
by my eyes. My first kiss, the friends who became brothers and the teachers who
became parents are all now behind me as I walk fearfully forwards into the
unknown. Four years have past and countless more are to come but without even a
wanderers sense of direction I prod forwards unsure of what to expect a every
turn.
